Live Q&A: ask your class an open question
An open question to a class or audience usually gets two answers. Live Question turns it into a live Q&A: everyone answers at the same time on their phone, and all answers appear clearly on screen – including those from people who would never raise their hand.
Let participants like each other’s answers so you see what the group finds most important, and use pre-moderation to approve what appears. Check at the end of a lesson whether the key point landed, ask a meeting for its biggest bottleneck, or collect the questions still open after a training.
Make every lesson, training or presentation interactive.
Your group takes part live on their own phones, without an app and without an account.

Frequently asked questions
What is Live Question?
With Live Question you ask your group an open question, and everyone answers on their own phone. The answers appear live as a list on the big screen. Unlike the Live WordCloud, it’s not about single words that grow bigger, but about short sentences you can read one by one.
How do you use it in the classroom?
Ask an open question, such as ‘What did you find hard about this task?’, and within a minute you can read what the whole class thinks. Every student types a short answer on their own phone, so even those who never raise a hand take part. The answers appear as a clear list on the board, so you can discuss them together straight away.
How do you use it in a meeting or training?
Collect questions, concerns or points for improvement without anyone having to speak up. With Live Question all the answers appear one below the other on the screen, as short sentences rather than single words. Turn on moderate first if you want to read what comes in before it’s shown, and enlarge an answer on the screen to dwell on it with the group.
How do you use it at a presentation or conference?
After your talk, let the audience send in a question or reaction via livecloud.online/join, with no app or account. Turn on likes and the audience itself shows which questions matter most, so you know where to start. Anything inappropriate or duplicated you remove with one click, so only the useful questions stay on the screen.
Is Live Question free?
Yes. You ask your question straight in your browser, and participants don’t need an account or app. With a subscription you save it in a presentation, together with the other tools you use, so everything is ready to go next time.
How long can an answer be?
An answer is up to 50 characters: enough for a short sentence, short enough to keep the list readable. By default each participant sends in one answer. If you want more responses per person, raise that in the settings, up to 25 or unlimited.
Can I block inappropriate answers?
Yes. Turn on moderate first; an answer then only appears on the screen once you approve it in the moderation panel. An answer that’s already on the screen can be removed with one click. That way you decide what the group gets to see.
Do participants need an app?
No. Participants go to livecloud.online/join on their phone, tablet or laptop and enter the code shown on the screen. Then they type their answer and send it in. No account or app needed.
Can I save the answers?
With a Silver or Gold subscription you download the slide as a PDF, JPG or PNG, and all answers as a PDF or Excel file. That way you can read them through at your leisure later or use them in a report. With a subscription you also save the whole presentation.
