What is a Live Wall?
A Live Wall is a digital noticeboard where your group posts messages from their own phone. The messages appear live on the big screen, in columns side by side. You use it to collect ideas, gather questions or give feedback, without bits of paper or sticky notes.
How do you use it in the classroom?
Have students post their answer, a summary or a question about the material on the Live Wall. All messages appear side by side in columns on the board, so you see at once what the class has understood. Click a message to show it large and discuss it together, or hide the names so that hesitant students dare to write too.
How do you use it in a meeting or training?
Collect ideas, points for improvement or questions for the rest of the day in a few minutes. Everyone writes a message of up to 250 characters from their own phone, and the wall fills up live on the big screen. Turn on likes and you immediately see which ideas the group supports most, giving you a starting point for the discussion.
How do you use it at a party or event?
Let guests leave a congratulation, memory or wish for the birthday person, the newlyweds or the colleague who’s leaving. The messages appear live on the big screen and together form a digital guestbook. With moderate first you read along before anything appears on the screen, and with a subscription you download the wall afterwards as a keepsake.
Is the Live Wall free?
Yes. You open the wall straight in your browser, and participants don’t need an account or app. With a subscription you save it in a presentation, together with the other tools you use, so everything is ready to go next time.
How many messages can each participant post?
You decide: from one message per person to unlimited. The default is five, each up to 250 characters. Enough for an idea with a short explanation, and short enough to keep the wall readable on screen.
Can participants post without a name?
Yes. Turn on hide username; the messages then appear on the wall without a name. That makes it easier to give honest feedback, or to ask a question someone would rather not ask out loud.
Can I check messages first?
Yes. With moderate first a message only appears on the wall once you approve it in the moderation panel. A message that’s already on the wall can be removed with one click. That way you keep the wall tidy, even with a large or unfamiliar group.
Can I save the wall?
With a Silver or Gold subscription you download the wall as a PDF, JPG or PNG, and all messages as a PDF or Excel file. Handy for a report, or to keep working later with everything the group contributed.
