Where does everyone actually stand? Live Opinion turns an agree-disagree activity into one clear picture: participants tap a spot on the image on their phone, so you see at a glance how the group is divided – and the discussion that follows is about something concrete.
Choose an image from the templates or upload your own, and draw the zones in which participants may take a position. That makes the tool fit any question: agree or disagree, a scale from one to ten, or a map where everyone points out where they come from.

What is Live Opinion?
With Live Opinion participants choose a spot on an image, such as a line, a quadrant or a map. Each answer appears as a figure with the name and an optional comment, so you see in a single picture how opinions are divided.
How do you use it in the classroom?
Put forward a statement and let students tap a spot on a line on their phone, from strongly agree to strongly disagree. Everyone appears as a figure with their name and, optionally, a comment. That way you see in a single picture how the class is divided, and the discussion starts from what’s actually there: why are you right at that end?
How do you use it in a meeting or training?
Let participants show where they stand in a quadrant, on a line, in a Venn diagram or on an image of your own, such as a project timeline. With a short comment they explain their choice. You see straight away where the group agrees and where opinions differ, and can steer the conversation towards those differences.
How do you use it at a party or event?
Put a map on the screen and let guests tap where they’re from, or where they’d most like to go on holiday. All those named figures naturally get people talking, even guests who don’t know each other yet. Guests join with a code on their phone, with no app and no account. Ideal as an icebreaker.
Is Live Opinion free?
Yes, you open the tool straight in your browser and participants don’t need an app or account. Some of the templates do come with a subscription. With a subscription you can also save the tool in a presentation.
Can I use my own image?
Yes. Choose a background from the template library, or upload your own image, such as a map, a timeline or a photo. Then you draw the areas yourself within which participants may choose a spot.
How do participants choose a spot?
Participants go to livecloud.online/join and enter the code. On their phone they see the image and tap a spot. Below it they can type a comment to explain their choice.
Can participants take part anonymously?
Yes. In the settings you turn on anonymous input; the figures then appear without a name. That helps with sensitive statements, where participants might otherwise choose what everyone else chooses. You still see how the group is divided.
Why does the tool start paused?
So you decide when choosing begins. You first explain the statement, and only start the tool once everyone knows what it’s about. You can also place answers on the board yourself, for example for participants without a phone.
